Keep WV Weird
OK, so I was heading back to the metropolis from Taboo, but decided to travel via US 11 toward Winchester, passing through Berkeley County's answer to Baltimore's block. Two clubs, Paradise City, and Foxy Lady, and what look like a pair of other places that are closed or abandoned stretch along the two-lane. Both PC and FL are apparently run by the same person, though PC is open very late and is BYOB. I was told that Paradise City picks up well after 3 am when everything else closes. In the meantiime, FL certainly has the weirdness factor built in. Cinderblock construction and a gravel parking lot, with some little bar (Bottoms Up) next door. You ring the door buzzer, a young dude with a beard looks at your license and then collects $6. In you go, to a club that for all practical purposes is likely smaller than your typical apartment or modest starter home. One stage on the left fairly low, with a rail and seating around it, a bar on the right, and a few scattered tables and sofas. Waitstaff for the clubs stand in front of the building smoking cigarettes (apparently there's a "smoking patio" around the side where dancers and customers may go but I don't smoke). One bartender (who may be the best looking gal in the place) pours drinks, makes food, rings up the tabs, and sells stripper outfits hanging on the walls over the bar in case one of the ladies needs some costume enhancements. The flat screen TV is tuned to reruns on TVLand. The crowd looks like a mix of rural hipsters and guys barely over drinking age. I'm not sure where the deejay even sits or whether it's all recorded music, but there is definitely a chill vibe. 5 plus-size gals (not dancers) are sitting at the bar, apparently at the tail end of a bachelorette party. A few other guys seem to attract 1-2 of the better looking girls, while another is on stage, looking good except for the scary flab on her midriff. The girl on stage will take it all off and you tip her, just like any other club. A couple gals with way too many tattoos. Like I said, this is definitely a hipster kind of place. Not many dancers, a couple look like they were on the strung-out side (not unusual these days in the smaller towns of WV). Taboo definitely has some of the better lookers, though in both of these places there really isn't a whole lot of choice if you're a boob man.
An earlier post talked about Melissa, a lean but very attractive gal with a sexy voice who sounds so country the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and the little Roadworrier wakes out of his slumber, making those jeans just a little bit tighter. We talked at length about the downfall of Vixen's (apparently they were sued, won the case but the lawyers basically cleaned out the owner, who just runs Taboo now), and the sister club of FL that is open ridiculously late and apparently doesn't pick up till after 3 am. She has a two hour commute to this place, and been making the commute for some years now. After a while, it was time to ask this charmer for a private dance in one of the two rooms to the side. I took the 15 min for $85 (5 min is $40, 10 min $60, 30 min is $160), not really knowing what I would get. They are fully clothed dances (ecch), though she might let you sneak a peak, and you can get some good grind and bounce as well as some cuddling action. There are also cheaper dances on the sofas out in the open, which a couple guys in the crowd settle for (I'm sure much cheaper). There is a little timer in the room which keeps everyone honest. Definitely seems like no extras here, nor would you want extras in this place. Although Melissa is very nice, I doubt I would come back here again. A visit to the sister club Paradise City after 3 am in the future (only if I'm in the area already) sounds kind of intriguing though, although it could also be a clusterf*ck.
