Not for Me

This was one of the last clubs in Columbus to which I had not been, so I decided to rectify that. The parking lot was packed at 11. Cars were double parked in some places. I found a spot out of which I could safely back out as I was about to leave. The bouncer had me empty my pockets and then went over me with a wand. I don't know of any other club in Columbus that does that, but they are close to the airport, so maybe they like to give their patrons the full TSA experience. This place is pretty brightly lit, more akin to what you would find in a neighborhood bar than in a nightclub. The seating situation confused me. There were three or four tables; the bar, which was rather small; and a row of couches lining the wall. I think the couches required the purchase of a bucket of beer. I tried one of the tables, but was made to move by the female manager because she claimed a group was sitting there, so I took the seat at the very end of the bar in front of the KENO machine or whatever that is. I cast my eyes in search of a hot dancer, thinking that surely on a crowded Friday night there would be several, but alas! my tastes must be different than those of their average patron because I saw only about 12 dancers (to at least twice as many customers), and those ones were in the 5-7 range. The one naturally busty one walked straight up to me at the start of the two-for-one hustle, which was fortunate because that is my type.

I had to prepay for the dance, which rubbed me the wrong way, especially considering that there was a tip jar at the desk where the transaction took place. I am there to interact with the dancers and give them money, not to interact with other males and pay them. Whatever. There was a little one-way touching in the dance, but that's about it. I tried to push it somewhat, but was rebuffed. Fine. After the two-for-one I stuck around for a maximum of 15 minutes, during which time the owner yelled at me to get my drink off of his pool table, before I decided that I was uncomfortable there both due to the overcrowding and the general atmosphere. It was on to Scores to try to salvage the night.

tl;dr I didn't like it and probably will never go back, but I think the problem might have been as much with my own expectations as anything, because I'm used to the upscale clubs and prefer them. For that reason, I would stress the subjective nature of this review, and take it for what it is: one man's opinion.
