Diva's

I stopped in at Diva’s in Lexington slightly before 7pm on a Thursday evening. No one was taking the cover so I walked in. There were 6 or 7 guys at the bar in the center of the club. I pulled up a bar stool and ordered a soda as I still had some driving to do later that night.

Not much going on. Two dancers were sitting on a couch behind the bar and on their phones. After serving my soda, the bartender joined them also on her phone. An attractive AA dancer with big hair was on stage apparently giving pole dancing lessons to a young lady in civilian clothes.

Diva’s is a good size building as there were lots of empty tables. The décor is classic strip club with worn out and wrinkled carpet likely from the late 80’s. Diva’s has upholstered roller chairs these in an equally 80’s pastel striped print. The restrooms are clean and presentable. The music is the typical Rap Crap and with such few people in the club the volume was too high.

The attractive, big hair AA dancer having finished with her pole dancing lesson came over and joined me at a table. We chatted about a variety of subjects. She had a nice smile and a good presence about her. She explained the club was doing a shift change which was why it was slow (dead). As we talked an attendant and a bouncer were setting up the cover charge area at the club entrance. The AA dancer, I never got her name, was waiting on a dinner delivery. She left me when her food arrived.

The two dancers sitting on the couch behind the bar were now taking their turns on stage. The first dancer was Honey, a long and thin blond with an outgoing stage personality. The second dancer was a thinner blond, Kelli, with a Goth look. They each did two clothed dances on-stage. Neither blond really interested me. I was looking to leave and get back on the road.
