A total waste of time

I've been to City Lights a few times over the years so stopped by last week my expectations were pretty low. In the past it's been a low key place, mostly locals and your standard issue young guys looks to see some booty. Boy has this place gone down hill in every way. I don't need a fancy setting but this bar seems to be really in disrepair - it just isn't maintained - looks and smells dirty even by dive bar standards. I guess it's because the place was empty on Saturday at 11:30.

The dancers were just horrlble .... I'm talking old and beat up looking. I didn't really count but there were maybe 5 or so working ... if you count sitting at the bar with their heads buried in their phones working. However, when they noticed me (the way racoon notices garbage) they literally attacked ... the first one was just gross ... fat, horrible skin ... comes running up to me throws a huge arm around my shoulder and shouts do i want a dance. it was like being attacked by a crazed homeless hooker. I tried to politely decline and she woldnt take no for answer ... i swear this is true - she told me she'd leave if I gave her two dollars. It was so pathetic I gave her five. Hard to beleive the others that came up to me using the same basic approach were actually worse in that were nasty as opposed to just sad.

If you're still reading ... the "girls" dance behind the bar so no interaction, I saw a guy getting a lap dance - the chair was situated in the front of the club in between where the two bouncers stand - I saw on of them lean on the chair and talk to the girl while she was giving a dance ... crazy!
