I decided to hit one more...

I decided to hit one more club in Denver before leaving town, and since I had just left the Penthouse Club, Shotgun Willie's was only a stone's throw away. I was told the girls would be pretty there but contact would be low, so I thought I'd just stay for a little while to say I'd been there, done that.

I got parked (free, but there is valet available), paid $10 to get in, and got a bottle of water at the bar for $3.00. The room layout was odd, I thought, with bars a few different places around the perimeter, though they're partially hidden, and seven (I think) small stages crammed into a relatively small area. Each stage was octagonal, with glass blocks for a tip rail that were lighted in different colors. It was a Monday night, so not a ton of dancers (or customers), and only four or five stages were in use, but there was a very fun vibe about the place. The 15 or so girls were in the 5-6 range in attractiveness, mostly white (though not all ), with a mix of body types. There were quite a few women customers, some there with guys, but some just with women friends, either tipping at the rails or getting "private" dances. The most animated couple at the tip rail was a guy who seemed really gay (I mean, *really* gay) and a gal who seemed really lesbian. Whatevs. They were having a gay old time cheering on the dancers, and the dancers loved it. They certainly added to the festive nature of the night.

Once I got used to the set-up, I kind of liked it because it was easy to go from stage to stage to gawk and tip as I pleased. (The stages are literally only a few steps away from each other.) The girls expressed appreciation for tips at the stage, but not a single girl approached me for a dance in the 45 minutes I was there, which was odd. OK, I'm not shy, and I could have asked someone for dances, but I could see that dances were done in full view of everyone in the club (for $20, I think), and there appeared to be only limited one-way contact. I had an early flight in the morning, so I bailed at 11:15.
