On my second-to-last stop on a tour of some of Denver's finest, I hit the Penthouse Club about 8:30 on Monday night. I wasn't sure about the parking set-up and when I pulled the rental car into the portico, I noticed the sign that said "Complimentary Valet" and figured what the heck, it's free. Not sure about other parking options, but this was fine. Super-outgoing guy at the door checked my ID ("You don't have to take it out, I just need to make sure you have one"), took my $15 cover and sent me into the club. I headed to the bar to get a bottle of water and get the lay of the land.

This is a very large and posh club, a big open room with a second level above that looks over the main room on all four sides. Certainly one of the nicest clubs I've ever been in, but considering I usually gravitate toward lower-end, higher-mileage clubs, I'm easily impressed. There were several stages, but only one (and later, two) was in use because there were few dancers and a handful of patrons early on a Monday night. The girls were pretty, but I saw a fair amount of fake boobage, which is not my thing. One of them, a friendly Brazilian, quoted me $40 or three for $100 for topless dances, which seems to be standard.

I spent some quality time with a dancer named Skye, first at the stage, then at the bar, then in a private room upstairs. I loved so much about this girl, from her bangin' body to her sharp wit. She looked to me to be in her late 20s and I was absolutely floored to learn she was 43 and had two grown sons. It was her last night at Penthouse, as she was moving to Boulder to dance at Nitro there. I'm not sure what that place is like, but with Skye there, I'd be inclined to visit. Maybe next time.
