Middle of the road

This is the go-to club in downtown Montreal - right on Ste-Catherine Street, not far from the centre of the action. They offer discounts on drinks on hockey nights if you bring your ticket from the Bell Centre.

It's generally pretty busy, with a fair number of tourists mixed with a crowd of locals. It's pretty well lit, the bar staff is friendly, and the bouncers are a little gruff but not aggressive. Drinks cost more or less what you'd expect for a downtown strip club - about $8.25 for a beer - and the dances are $10 a song, which makes them cheaper than most clubs nearby. The booths for the dances are a little cramped, with not the most comfortable chairs.

But the dancers are generally pretty hot - a mix of young and old, various body types, mostly Québecoise but with the occasional hint of exotic spice. I don't think they're of the same quality that you'll find at Chez Parée, but then again you're getting better value for your money.
