All the news out there is correct, dances have gone up to $10 but keep in mind that they are still for full length song not 4 min as many $20/$30spots charge. Even though they are at your seat they are often total contact. Of course there is also a VIP room available where most anything can be arranged. So, I don't think we need to be turned off by the increase.

On the day I was there the crowd was relatively light however there were plenty of quality dancers available. I have always had fun here.

I also must address another reviewers comments concerning racial comments. I too am white, I have been coming here for years. I I live in the city of Philadelphia not the sanitized burbs. Of course this is primarily a black club so as a white we are the minority, something most of us are not accustomed to. I believe in this case it is common to approach every situation, every look, every comment in a negative way. In all my time of visiting Outer Space from day one I have NEVER had a negative situation either in the club or on the street. I know many other whites that visit here frequently as well. I am certain that should they have experienced anything negative they would not keep returning. Outer Space is safe for whites. I do advise to ear in mind that you are in the city. Simply practice reasonable security. Don't flash money, don't separate yourself from the crowd, maintain a strong posture, look at people you encounter but no need to stare. If you're uncomfortable and feel threatened the problem is probably you. Stay home or go to a club in the burbs. I'll continue to enjoy being with friends at Outer Space.
