La Boheme Review

It's been many years since I've been to Denver, and I had never been to any clubs there. I had to be in Denver on business, and I was looking forward to seeing and feeling a little T & A. Based on TUSCL reviews, I had picked out four clubs to visit, but La Boheme was not one of them. As an extras monger, I like all-nude dive-y places where you get the best mileage and pay the least at the pump (so to speak), and I knew from the reviews here that La Boheme was fairly upscale, expensive, topless only, and low mileage. However, my Saturday business concluded unexpectedly early, and LaBo was only three blocks from my hotel. I will apologize in advance for the wordy review; the TLDR is that I'm really glad I went.

I arrived at 9:15, showed my ID at the door (no scan), paid $10 to get in, and got a small Fiji water at the bar for $5. The place is nicely appointed (as described more fully in some of the previous reviews), with three small "main" stages and a couple of very small satellite stages that were an extension of the bar on the left. Though it was early and not very crowded, there was a nice vibe about the place. At this point, there were three girls dancing on stage, one on each of the three main stages. (Later on, there were more girls dancing on all stages, sometimes two to a stage.) I liked the layout of this place because it was easy to sit anywhere or wander around and see different dancers on different stages. There is no smoking allowed in the club, so that's a HUGE plus for me. The lighting was perfect and the music was not overly loud, so conversations with the girls were easy. It's definitely a couples-friendly place, and there were quite a few female customers at the tip rails. I love watching girls watch girls strip, especially when the dancers get handsy with the female civilians. Stage dances are topless only.

The girls: At first, all I saw were young white spinners (which I'm fine with), but as the night went on, there was much more variety, with all races and body types represented. I talked with a recent arrival from Cuba (who spoke very little English), one from Columbia and one from Puerto Rico (both of whom spoke English perfectly), and one from Japan -- a first for me. By the DJ booth, there was a callboard for the five stages, and throughout the night as I checked, there were 20-21 girls listed at any one time. I would say that the girls were all in the 7 to 9.5 range, with maybe one 10 (if in fact her boobs were real; if not, it was the best. boob. job. ever.). Here's the thing that made the biggest impression on me: All of the girls were super nice, and were either very outgoing or super approachable. There were no out-and-out "stripper handshakes" (which I enjoy), but I did get what I will call a "stripper high five" (actually a low five, but you get the picture) from a number of them. Tipping at the stages was up close and personal, and while not a lot of touching seems to be allowed, Stevies were the order of the night.
