Tuesday Afternoon
Clubbing in Vegas on a couple of hot summer afternoons. Seemed like a better place to cool off than the pool or black jack table. Prefer to avoid the crowds and din of the night. Visited Rhino the other day so I thought I'd give Sapphire a shot---hadn't been here for 10 years or more. Just about the same as I remembered: cavernous. They say at 70,000 sq ft it's the largest in the world. With 500-600 dancers on a busy weekend night. Too much.
Afternoon pros: self-parking, no cover, no wait staff hustling you to buy drinks, lots of room on the floor to find a quiet corner to talk and, with the right dancer, get a little more than the usual mileage here. $5 beers/well drinks until 6pm.
Cons: virtually dead in between shifts.
