I visited the GAB a couple...

I visited the GAB a couple times recently, both visits in the afternoon (only the topless side is open then). They have $1 drafts from 11-2 and 2-for-1 after that. Dances on the main floor are $5 during the day. A VIP lounge is also available upstairs, but I've never seen anyone go up there. I seem to recall them announcing the VIPs were $15 and, since it's very private, it has potential.

During the $1 drafts, about half of the 10-20 customers seem more interested in the cheap beer than the cheap dances, sitting near the bar. They head out the door by 2pm. The club is large enough that you can spread out and get some privacy with the small number of customers. Depending on the dancer, dances are typically good and occasionally great.

There are only a few dancers, mostly in the 6-7 range. Most have tatoos, are thin, and probably aren't working their way through college, if you know what I mean. For me, that's actually a pleasant change from the Barbie Doll look at many Phoenix clubs. The dancers, waitress, and bartender are very friendly and the club has a blue-collar, neighborhood feel to it. It's a nice change of pace from the larger, flashier clubs in town.
