Mediocre

I intended to go to The Landing Strip based upon reviews, but when I plugged in the address into my rental car GPS it kept taking me to a spot where there was no club. Drove around. Couldn't find it. Disappointed. Plugged the Palazio address into GPS and found it. I knew from reviews that Palazio wouldn't be as good as Landing Strip, but what the heck. I was here and I figured I'd experience something new. The club was pretty nice on the inside. Quality of dancers was disappointing. From reviews I expected high quality beauty with a ceiling when it came to private dances. I thought the dancers were mostly 7s. There were a lot of dancers but only a few that interested me. I also found it strange that no dancers came by to see if they could join me. I don't want wanna dance girls stopping by every 30 seconds, but this was the flip side where not one dancer came up to me for like 40 minutes. The couple of dancers I was interested in never freed up and I thought this was going to be a complete bust. While watching and waiting I could see than the non VIP private dances were along a back wall, and the mileage looked pretty low. Guys weren't allowed hands to roam anywhere. The one-way grind looked adequate but not great. I made a mental note that if I found anyone I liked I wasn't going to go the out in the open dance route. I knew from reviews that VIP could be pricey, but I had deep pockets so I figured I'd go for the Cadillac of dances to see what the best experience here would be. Finally I saw a dancer who piqued my interest. Maybe an 8 if I graded generously. Brief conversation and then we decided to back to VIP for an hour once the floor manager discounted the house take for the VIP area since it was 11:00 pm and the prices go up after 11:00. Besides the house payment for VIP you have to pay the dancer. The overall cost was a little more than I pay for an hour at On The Border in Wisconsin, a lot more than an hour at The Admiral in Chicago so it was on the expensive side but I figured why not since I am only here this one time. The dancer allowed pretty aggressive two-way action but the stop sign went up at Detroit style activity. This is a place where it is overpriced for every level of dance. You can have a good time here, but not a great time here. As for its reputation of having the best looking dancers in Austin, I don't know what the dancers at other Austin clubs look like, but I would say in the looks department on this night it was adequate to solid but nothing to take your breath away.
