Bad Day?

Maybe Monday is a bad time to try this place out, but it was pretty disappointing. The place hasn't changed much after a number of years and it generally looks OK and has been kept in good shape, with a bar that virtually fills the room; you essentially sit at a bar while the dancers perform on a stage in the middle, moving up and down the length of the room trying to get the audiences attention. The waitstaff are polite and attentive too. However, the place lacked any atmosphere with about 6 guys sitting round the bar and about the same number of girls, it wasn't likely to get going. I suspect that there were probably more on shift but they seemed to be either hanging around outside or just in the dressing room - I know that it must be boring, but surely they could at least sit at the bar if they can't be bothered with doing a dollar parade? One or two more attractive dancers seemed to be almost in hiding! I've been here before over the years and quite a few of the dancers are still there, although some of my favorites (eg Jennifer) seem to have left or just retired. I've seen comments on this site about how high the average age seems to be, although on the basis of what I've seen, the replacements don't seem to have helped matters. I'm not bothered that much about this as such, but the general feeling of tedium meant that after an hour, with the next round of dollar parades about to start, I left and went on my way.

Maybe I'll try another day and check the dancers rota next time.
