Hit or Miss

Title says it all...This club is worth a visit now and then. Several weeks ago there was an ambulance, police cars, and a bunch of cops outside and inside the club as I arrived. Not to be deterred, I walked past all the commotion indoors and saw a guy lying prostrate on the floor below the steps going inside. Cop told me he fell. Blood on the floor and guy looked like he was hurt bad. Interestingly, I heard later that he does this all the time, both there and at the Mardi Gras up the road. Falls down stairs, cracks his ribs, hits his head. But I guess he has lots of money to throw around, so he doesn't get banned. Same source told me that after this incident he was back in the clubs the next day. Just a bit of an alcohol problem...

Week later some guy got shot/killed outside the Mardi Gras. Big bunch of people gathered around outside the club, women crying, cops everywhere. They still haven't found the shooter, but seemed to be gang related.

So, my point with all of that is you never know what you're going to walk into in this neighborhood.
