Waste of time

My first time in St Louis. Therefore decided to drive to washington park. Somehow I ended at Dollies which was the first club. I decided to go in to check out. The area appeared to be pretty safe and isolated with lots of parking during daytime. Have read here that it changes during night. Anyway, few more cars in the lot. I entered and was asked to pay a cover of $5. This is unusual for hole in the wall club for daytime shift. It was hot outside with temp of close to 95. So I made a beeline to bar to get a cold beer. The gate person who got my cover doubled as the bartender. Another unusual, a old white man as a gate keeper and bartender. Beer was cold and standard rate. Gave him a dollar tip. 3 more PL's were present. All of them with ladies. Looks like that they were regulars. There was a stage at the far end of the bar. One old PL was there getting dances from a girl there. I stayed for close to 40 min. I saw 4-5 ladies. All likely in their 30's to 40's. No one came to offer a dance. No one went to stage either. Overall dancer quality was maybe 5.At this time i decided to check another club as nothing was happening here. May be I came too early, although I will think that 3-4 pm Friday show have some activity in a club like this? I was given raffle ticket at the gate. didnt know if that was to come back if i decided to or that was for a sister club across the street. Bottom line it was a waste of 40 mins and $11.
