The Party Before the Party

I was in Austin again for work and made plans to stay over the weekend for tailgating and the football game. I decided to start the weekend off a day early and wound up down on South Congress for the evening. This club is a couple of miles south of the SoCo party area of town. So, after dinner in SoCo I took the short drive to Expose. Got there around 9:00 p.m. The parking lot was starting to get crowded, but its never seems shady to me. A short walk and lots of lights. And its free to park.

The club has always seemed dark to me. Nothing but the glow of the multiple TVs and the lights of the bar on the right. Lots of small tables set up in front of the stage, which is situated directly to the back when you walk in. I quickly settled in at a table not too far from the stage and off to the left. A little closer to the DJ than I wanted, but still a great view of the girls.

I got my drink and was soon approached by a pretty thin AA girl who might have gotten my attention had she not been wildly drunk. She couldn't carry on a conversation, although she didn't have any problem showing me with her hands what she had in mind. Tempting. But I just don't think she was in any place to be dancing or whatever it was that she eventually ended up doing for the rest of the night. I passed, and she passed on by.
