Club opened about a week ago....
Club opened about a week ago. It is related to a club of the same name in Las Vegas, though none of the dancers I spoke with had worked there. Most of them had worked in Philadelphia-area clubs before (Oasis, Penn's Port, Gold Club, Wizzards) and one at Scores in New York, if she is to be believed. The club is located two long blocks south of Oregon on CColumbus Boulevard, all by itself on a big lot. Basically just beyond the bridge. The layout is different than other Philadelphia clubs. It is very large, with a bar in the middle of the main room, separating it into two smaller rooms. When I visited Tuesday, only one half was open. They do not have a major runway like the other area clubs, just a small circular stage with a pole on each side. So you don't go there to watch the dancers. They are very careful about the PA pasties law. Very, very dark, sometimes it hard to see the stage clearly. And terrible lighting. Sometimes they have a kind of search light that goes out into the audience, so you're sitting with a dancer, and suddenly everyone can see you more clearly than they can see the stage. They also have smaller lights that sometimes will blind you, that they usually use when a dancer climbs the pole. The staff seem very sharp and polite and professional. The women who take your money when you walk in and the waitresses aren't gratuitously offensive like they often are at Delilahs. Basically this is what Delilahs would be like if it was run properly. But they still have kinks to work out. And the dances aren't as good.
The options are a dance where you are in the main room for $20, or the back room for $100 for 15 minutes or 3 songs (different dancers told me different rules), $200 for a half hour, or $400 for an hour. I'm not sure whether the bouncers enforce limits or the dancers do. Dancers varied when I was there, one reason for not ranking the club higher was inconsistent quality. Maybe a third black, a quarter with implants, a quarter really substandard for a club like this, and none super hot. Tight rules on contact in the main room, at least. They keep moving, don't stay in one place for long even when they get a good grind going. No hands or mouth even on outside of clothes, a little top of head action in passing. I got dances with four dancers, all about the same. With the small stages it is basically a lap dance club but the lap dances are very modest by Philadelphia standards. It gets a 7 because it is low pressure and very professional. So a nice place to hang out, have a beer and sit with dancers. Some would walk up and say want a dance, some would sit for a while without asking for anything.
