All in All, A Good Night

I arrived at the club shortly after 9:00 pm. Paid the $5 cover, which I feel is completely reasonable, and made my way inside. I like the layout of this particular club with a bar immediately in front of you when you walk in, comfortable seating, and a second, smaller bar at the back on the other side of the stage. I feel that the lighting in this club is at just about the right level, with it being dark, but not so dark you’re afraid you’re going to trip over someone. The place is clean enough with decent drink prices, though mixed drinks are a little weak, so I’d suggest going with beers. The bar was clean – or at least, nothing was sticky, which will usually make me leave after one drink. The music was fairly loud, but at the smaller bar in the back, it’s not so bad. Very easy to have a conversation back there. I prefer to sit at the bar, because I find it easier to avoid the immediate hustle and gives me a chance to get my bearings and see who is working that night.

Usually, sitting at the back bar will at least give me 5 or 10 minutes before I’m approached, but not tonight. For me, that is usually an immediate no, however, the first thing she said to me was an apology for coming up as soon as I got there and she’d be happy to come back later. It also just so happened she was exactly my type, (shorter, thin, fit, and blonde) so I told her no, it was no problem at all and she immediately slid in close and introduced herself. Never once was there the usual buy her a drink hustle that seems to be getting worse and worse at this particular club and after a few minutes of conversation, I offered one and told her I’d like a dance after we had our drinks. The conversation was pleasant, easy, and not full of complete bullshit, with her actually managing to make me laugh a few times.

I ended up getting all of my dances from her all night because, for the first time at this particular club, I actually enjoyed the company. The dances were not the best I’ve ever received as far as two way contact, but certainly were not the worst, and they got better with each one I got. The bartender was very quick to ask if I needed anything when my drink was empty, but also didn’t push for me to order another as soon as one was finished which I appreciate greatly.
