The club has a nice vibe to it. There is a large, well-lit parking lot with super easy access from Thomas Road. I'm not much of a crowd person, and if you're like me and see a full parking lot, don't let it deter you - the interior is much larger than I expected. It is super dark inside, but it ends up creating a pretty nice ambiance once your eyes adjust. There are lots of small cocktail tables and three separate stages, though only one stage was being used during my visit. Drink prices seem on par with most clubs in the area (an import beer cost me $6.00), but for what it's worth, they do give you free popcorn at the bar.

The dancers were exceedingly attractive and were physically everything I could hope for: perfectly curvy, super fit, naturally beautiful twenty-somethings with minimal body modifications. My issue was not with their dancing or attitude, but with their sole focus on a particular few customers. I'm clearly not a "regular" at Bourbon Street, so I can't say whether or not these particular stripper-magnet groups were, but the only employee who approached me was the waitress asking if I needed another drink. The main dancers tended to spend their two-song allotment leaning over the edge of the stage, privately flirting with one or two customers, and the dancers waiting to be called-up were usually huddled by the bar talking to each other and the bartender/bouncer. I am an admittedly secluded patron and tend to quietly find a seat and mind my own business, rarely making any advances towards the dancers other than the usual few singles for the main stage dancer and the occasional front-row treatment. I love table dances as much as the next guy and am always willing to sign-on for the right dancer, but I am very much of the mindset of "if you don't feel the need to take 10 seconds to come say hello, then I don't feel the need to give you a bunch of my money". After about an hour of sitting at a highly noticeable second-row table of the club that was significantly under-capacity, having had several dancers walk right past me without eye contact, I decided to call it a day. I'm confident that if I were to have thrown myself into the middle of the action and initiated a conversation or requested a dance, the dancers would have been entirely accommodating, but that's just not me. It is very possible that a different night would have yielded different results, but there are far too many other clubs in the area that better suit my personality for me to try Bourbon Street again any time soon.
