So So Sunday
Nice place. Not sure that it will live up to expectations. Hard to judge from one Sunday night experience.
Stayed at Pueblo Amigos a short distance away. The hotel is little expensive by TJ standards, but the rooms are very nice and the staff is pleasant and thoughtful. Chose it because of its proximity to Déjà vu. It is a short walk across a courtyard from the hotel to the club, but not much there as far as people and no open businesses, so I reminded myself to stay alert and keep the drinking under control for the return trip. Same level of concern I would have if walking through a rather deserted downtown area in any country.
Cover was $5 and included a beer. About 12-14 girls and 8-10 mongers. Since I arrived about 10pm, I did not think it would change much. Sat down at a table near the stage and was surrounded by wait staff, almost like a cartoon the way they swept in. But I had my beer, so they just stood around. One tried to bring me an attractive girl, but I waved them off, as I just wanted to scope the property. It did not stop her and she said, “relax” and asked my name. I was polite, but made it clear that I needed some time to do exactly that, relax, and she went on her way.
