I went to Lipstix on a Tuesday at midnight. The club is on the north side of Council Bluffs, down the street from Wal Mart. There was no cover to enter, but one must walk through a metal detector. The clientele was about two-thirds African-American and about half of the dancers were also. All of the music that was played during the two hours I was at Lipstix was hip hop. About half was underground cuts, while the other half was the type of hip hop you’d hear on an urban radio station. A Sincweiser was $4.25.

There is a big runway stage in the middle of the room. There are no true stripper poles, but there are scaffolding-type of poles built over the stage, which some dancers use during their stage sets. Dancers are able to get topless on stage. There is a smoking patio out back (a great place to chat and feel up dancers), but it gets closed off at 01:00, an hour before the club closes. Dances are done in booths on the north half of the west wall. Privacy is nonexistent as customers sitting in the rest of the club can see what is going on. There are pool tables on the south side of the main room.

Lappers were $25. I got one for research purposes with a 6. Contact was good and touching was permitted everywhere. However, dancers must keep their bikinis on when doing lap dances. Value would be better if the lap dance price was lowered. Songs were usually full length.
