No frills, but a solid standby

Considering the lack of options in the area for fully nude clubs, the Poodle could be a lot worse. I've only gone on weeknights when the main stage is the only one in use, but there's a secondary stage on the left that may get used on the weekends. The cover is usually 20$ during the week, and the crowd is mellow; a mixture of creeps lurking the outside seating, older regulars waiting for their private dance and birthdays/bachelor parties - usually pretty young. The bouncers don't tolerate a lot of bullshit so I've never seen the place get rowdy, it's definitely a club that first timers frequent. No cell phones and they won't hesitate to let you know. Private lap dances are 40$ to the house plus whatever you tip the girl, topless only but plenty of friction. Afterwards they invite you to sit down and chat for a while while they wait for their turn on stage. The place is small and dingy but clean. The girls mostly dance to grindy rap music but sometimes one of the more veteran white chicks will do heavy metal or classic rock, or something exotic. The DJ basically just announces the girls, no annoying chatter - the vibe is very mellow. they don't serve booze but will direct you to the bar across the street before you even ask, the drinks available in the club are characteristically priced (redbull is like 7$ or so.)

The girls are mostly white, their lineup includes a few black girls, some Asians and Latinas but they're mostly slotted in for the weekends; during the week it's usually white girls with maybe 1 ethnic girl in the mix. I've never been disappointed with the lineup - it's not Miami or Vegas by any stretch but the girls are good looking, a mixture of thick girls with big tits and toned more athletic types. Lots of tattoos and a fair amount of fake tits. They all have excellent attitudes, thank you after every dance, smile and make small talk - they definitely try to push the private dances, but have no problem taking no for an answer. If you're sitting at the rail they're great about giving attention to the tippers and I've always felt appreciated; they sell the fantasy that they like you with ease. All in all The private dances probably aren't worth it unless you're looking to spend some serious money and don't want to make the trip to SF or somewhere else (I did get to touch but I gave the girl $40 on top of the house rate,) but sitting at the rail is a fine way to spend a weeknight, you definitely get your money's worth and feel appreciated.

I gave the girls an 8, and that was about 65% based on attitude and personality rather than looks - again it's NOT Vegas or Miami. I gave the monetary value a 5 - at the rail it's a 10 but for private dances a 1 or a 2.
