Visited: Friday Morning

I had wanted to visit Foxy Lady for a while now, but would always end up at Club Desire. Last week my travels brought me to Providence early in the morning, and Foxy Lady was the only club that was open. This was fine, because I had always wanted to stop in for 'Legs & Eggs', and I remembered that Foxy Lady provides that on Friday. Well worth the visit, and I may make this my new favorite club depending on how the next couple of months go.

First off, you need to keep you eyes open for the club. Its set down a small side road, and I overshot it the first time; I ended up getting back on the highway, and had to circle around to get back to right address. Second time, I payed more attention, and realized that I should have turned right a little earlier. Plenty of parking, spread out over several lots; I had expected a less congested parking lot, but I guess that the early morning opening is quite the draw. The club is huge...two stories. In fact, once I parked my car, I tried getting in through the bottom story entrance before I figured out that the main entrance was on top. I think that the cover was $7. Paid my dues, and proceeded through the turnstile. Once my eyes adjusted, I realized that the club was very posh. Bar just as soon as you come in, and the stage was off to the side. In addition to the seats around the stage, there were some small tables with 2-3 chairs, and many large booths past that. I expected the club to be dead that early in the morning, but the place was pretty well populated. Not crowded, but enough patrons that there was a good vibe to the the whole place.

I started off at the bar, ordering a mimosa for $10. I thought that was a little steep, but couldn't really get into drinking anything else (beer, wine, etc) that early in the morning. The breakfast buffet was very nice: eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, hashbrowns, french toast, etc. I wasn't really hungry, but wanted to sample the fare, just to see if it was decent. Food was pretty good; certainly worth the $7 cover charge. Once I settled in, I drifted over to the stage, and caught a glimpse of the dancers. I saw some great bodies: very sexy, and they knew how to put on a show for those of us sitting around the stage.
