Excellent time at the strip

I haven't been back to the Landing Strip for a few months and when my week got extended in Austin I decided to treat myself to an evening out. First, as previously described, the Landing Strip is never going to be anyone's idea of a classy joint. The location and look from the outside just can't be fixed. But the price is right to get in and the club layout is pretty friendly. Although there are three stages, its rare in my experience for the two satellite stages to see much use until very late in the evening. Bottom line, you will mainly see the girls on the main stage or at your table (or in the VIP if you decide that's where you want to spend your time and money).

This evening, I was just going in to kill some time and catch a late dinner afterward. Probably watch 10-12 dancers and book it. So I took a seat on the far side of the main stage facing back to the front door. I never even saw her approach me until she was in my lap. Tall and brunette. Fit and friendly. This girl had a smile and a personality that cried out for a couple of dances. She didn't push for dances though, so we sat through 5-6 songs before I asked her to find us one of the $10 couches on the wall. And I couldn't believe it when she told me that the couches were all taken. Thought it was an upsell situation. So I checked myself and sure enough, no couches for me an my cute friend.

The waitress came to our rescue. She brokered a deal to one of the couches in the VIP area, just next to one of those booths with the curtains. No extra charge. We sat right down and found a song to start with while this angel got right down to grinding and stick shifting. Honestly, I've never had that good of a dance before in my life. Three songs in, she looks at me, looks at the VIP booth, and looks at me again. "I want to go in there," she tells me. Again, I am suspicious. Thinking this was the plan all along -- to get the VIP out of me. But that wasn't the plan at all. She told me the waitress was a friend and would watch the door for us. We waited for our moment when all backs were turned, and poof, we were in the booth with the curtains drawn just like we were legitimate customers instead of stripclub squatters.
