I visited Spearmint Rhino from 19:30-20:50 on a Tuesday evening. The south side of downtown Los Angeles is rough, so only park in the club’s parking lot. Underneath the Interstate 10 overpass behind the club, there is an encampment of homeless. There was a $16 cover, which include your first drink. There is no alcohol or food served at the club. In Los Angeles, only strip clubs without alcohol can offer fully nude entertainment. If a club serves alcohol, it can only have topless stage dancing and bikini lap dances. Spearmint Rhino is of the former variety. The soda I got with my drink ticket was in a small glass with way too much ice. Additional juices and sodas cost $5 each.

There is a stage in the middle of the room with one pole. The booths for lap dances and VIP’s are on the outside of the room. The club is not very large. The washroom is near the exit, and there was no attendant. The waitress and bartender were hotter than about half of the dancers.

Shift change appeared to be 20:00, and more dancers might have arrived after I left. There were six dancers, all of whom were Caucasian. Most of the dancers had really bad attitudes, like they thought they were too good to be working at a strip club. Half of them did not even take their thongs off. At one point, the DJ announced two for one dances to try to get the ball rolling. None of the dancers even bothered to circulate the room and ask guys if they wanted lap dances. Here were some notes I took on the Wednesday evening lineup:
