Back to Fuego!
I live in the D.M.V. area. For the most part, the clubs here are nothing to brag about. Virginia is notoriously bad and although I've never been to a D.C. club, they have some type of "no touching the dancers law"... so why bother? However, Maryland has some good clubs--Fuego being one of them. Although I've been to Fuego before, it was a long time ago (over a year) because unfortunately I live in Virginia and don't get to the D.C./Maryland area often. But every now and then, an event brings me to this area and last night I was in town for a D.M.X. concert. After the show, I headed over to Fuego----the land of lovely Latinas. :-)
I arrived about 30 minutes after midnight on Thursday (technically Friday morning). They have self-parking and valet-parking. Self-parking is free. Valet costs, but I'm not sure how much because I've never used it. This club, like many, is tucked away from other businesses. If you use the free parking, you have to walk a small distance to the club and while I can see why other people might see it as a little unsafe, to me, its not that bad.
Anyway, this is a BYOB (snacks, water, red-bull, soda can be bought at the bar) club. Cover charge is $22 bucks. That's undoubtedly high. The only time it's cheaper is if you get there very early--like within the first couple of hours they open. As noted in previous reviews, you can't bring cigs, cell-phones, lighters or anything like that into this club--so leave it in your car---it'll save you having to walk all the way back to your whip. :-) When I entered the club, it wasn't that busy. Maybe 30 customers or so, but I was easily able to find a seat---which isn't always easy to do at Fuego---especially if you're there on the weekend. I prefer weekdays because its far less crowded and you can still find some very pretty ladies to dance with.
