First visit, favorably impressed
As a Las Vegas local, I am rarely inclined to go to strip clubs. Living here, if this is your hobby, it is easy to go broke, like gambling. Nevertheless, clubs like Palomino and Little Darlings cater fairly well to locals, waiving the cover charge and generally making it easy. When I have ventured out in the past entertaining clients, I have ended up at Sapphire and never have had much of an experience. Palomino is the exact opposite of Sapphire in just about every way, for better and for worse, more on that below.
The club itself is in a nasty part of town, just on the edge of the North Las Vegas wasteland. Parking is easy, and the physical facilities are better than everything but the mega clubs in Vegas. The most direct competitor to Palomino is Little Darlings, mostly because because of size and the fact that Palomino offers nude dances. Like Little Darlings, the dancers range wildly in looks and attitude, but most of them feature some aspect that otherwise disqualifies them from working at the larger competition. They are often very young, have many tattoos, and only occasionally have fake breasts: definitely more of a girl-next-door vibe than glamour model. If that is your type, then this is a great place for your visit. The difference between this place and Little Darlings is that Palomino serves alcohol. A basic rum and coke will cost about $11, which is on par with other clubs in Vegas.
The club itself is very smoky, particularly in the lap dance area. Table seating is very limited even at non-peak hours, so anyone's best bet is at the dance floor, or else standing in a corner. The show here ranges from good to spectacular. Some of the girls are downright acrobatic, and those without that particular skill do very sensual floor routines. This is compared to Sapphire, where the pole dances are normally robotic.
