Fannie's Review

I'm from out of state, but I get to Atlanta a few times a year. I've been to a lot of clubs there, but I wanted to see for myself some of the dives that are clustered together in the Fulton Industrial area. I started at Fannie's, where the sign said valet parking, but at 10:30 I self-parked and the guy outside the door just waved me in. Once inside, the cover was $5.00; bottled water at the bar was $4.25.

I think I counted 18 girls working, a mix of races and body types. Most were attractive enough, but one was a big white whale – and not one I would have wanted to harpoon. Girls got nude on stage, so I was entertained (except when the whale was dancing).

There was a cute AA gal next to me at the bar, who introduced herself. She said it was only her second day there – usually a red flag – but she explained she was just visiting Atlanta and had a regular job dancing at one of the clubs in the East St. Louis area. From what I've read on TUSCL, I took that as a good sign. She said she was really interested in taking me to the VIP, which she said would be $30 to the club and $200 for her. I had no idea if that was the going rate at Fannie's (one prior reviewer mentioned a $10 tip to the bouncer and $140 to the girl -- on top of the $30 room fee) or what she usually got back home, but I told her I'd think about it. I *was* interested in getting a couple of $10 dances from her, so off we went to the couches along the perimeter. Though it was not private at all, the dances were high mileage – very enjoyable. When we finished our second song, a manager came over and told me that there was a $20 fee to use the couches (for how long, I don't know). I told him neither I nor the visiting dancer knew that. He was cool about it. He asked if I wanted to stay; I said no and he didn't charge me.
