Down hill

I don't get to Kansas often. I had some time and intended to visit 4 clubs. Started at the dirty bird, see my review. I skipped p paradise to go to the cabaret. This has been my favorite club on either Lawrence or Topeka. Not this time though. The dancers are usually awesome. Trouble is there were none. It was 2:15. The club used to open at 11am, but opens at 2pm now. so I thought there would be at least a couple of dancers. I've always liked the location and the spacious parking. There were 4 cars, so I was a little worried. I chatted with the bartender who was probably a dancer on other days. I think the owner was there, or this huge bouncer was acting like the owner. Nice guy really, but was obviously irritated that no dancers were there. I bought a beer, and the big guy said "free.". So I stayed for a half hour, no one showed. My other reviews have been very positive, but I'm beginning to wonder about the place. Cutting hours is never a good sign. I wish there were more to say. The building is great, parking and location, great. But today, it was just an empty bar.
