This visit was truly a TUSCL...

This visit was truly a TUSCL special. I have driven past this establishment so many times I cannot count. Until reading reviews on TUSCL, I had no idea this was anything other than a neighborhood place to hang out and have a few cocktails with fellow regulars.

On a lark, I decided to stop by shortly after opening. To my surprise, the place was much bigger on the inside than it appeared from the tiny parking area in front. There is a bar running the entire length of the right hand side. To the left are something like 6 well-kept pool tables. Further left, there were stairs to an upper level that was dark and closed off.

I sat down, no cover, and decided to have a beer and see what happens. Almost immediately, I was approached by Nadia. She is an early 20-something brunette with an enhanced balcony and a fairly thick Polish accept. She indicated that she has worked here for 4 years and was pursuing a degree somewhere (sure!), We actually had a pleasant conversation. She mentioned checking out Heavenly Bodies in EGV once upon a time, but found their fee structure to be too onerous. Plus, she did not like working evenings, she said. As she later admitted, evenings too naughty. HB too naughty. Wish I had known that up front.
