Hustle factor is through the roof. Loud music is loud.

Ever since discovering this club, I’ve been wondering why the Palazio, which undoubtedly has the most beautiful dancers in Austin, has a dancer rating that is hardly better than the Yellow Rose, and actually lower than Perfect Ten. Now I know.

On my most recent visit, I once again had the same problem as on my previous visit – having to fend off hordes of dancers who didn’t even bother to make eye contact to determine my interest before approaching and asking for a dance. One of them actually sat down on my lap without even asking for permission. I had been eating at the time, and when my waitress came by to see why I was letting my food get cold this dancer just kept looking at me with this inane smile on her face and didn’t even apologize. But the “high point” of my evening was when I had to leave a dancer for a couple of minutes during a lap dance, and upon my return she immediately informed me that she expected me to pay for the song that had played during my absence.

Do women really not understand that rushing to be the first at someone’s table doesn’t change the fact that each guy tends to have a certain type (or types) that he prefers? Generally, the guys who are willing to go outside their type and don’t care what a woman looks like tend to be those who are looking for extras, and the Palazio is not known for being an extras club.
