Decent small town club

Cracker Jaxx is located in an industrial area close to downtown Jackson. Parking is adequate and free. The club itself is certainly not glitzy but it is generally well maintained. Drinks are reasonably priced for a strip club. Dancers do a two song set on a stage that is located behind the bar with a mirror and a ballet barre (a horizontal bar affixed to the wall) but has a runway that connects the main stage to a satellite stage than contains a pole and a platform for tipping the dancers.

Lap dances are performed in a room that contains several overstuffed chairs and a sofa, each separated from the other with a low wall. Although video cameras are not in use, privacy is pretty limited in the lap dance area because of the layout. Lap dances cost $20 per song but the songs are typically full length songs so the value is OK compared to some clubs that truncate all of their songs at a certain length (see most of the Deja Vu chain). It also features three more private areas, called the champagne rooms, that offer somewhat more privacy. Access to these rooms costs $30 to the bar. If you elect to upgrade to a champagne room, I recommend the two that are downstairs. They are smaller than the upstairs champagne room (which contains four couches and a small stage with a striper pole). The problem with the upstairs champagne room is that the DJ booth is adjacent to this room and many of the dancers limit their champagne room dances because of the DJ being present. The downstairs champagne rooms, while smaller, seem to be more private.

I've been to the club several times and the number and the quality of dancers is highly variable. Some afternoon visits have featured as few as three dancers whereas other afternoon visits have featured 8 dancers. Evening visits seem to have between 6 and 10 dancers. Dancer quality is also highly variable, and includes some attractive women and also some overweight women. One common complaint about the CJ dancers is that they tend to hang out with regulars and fail to circulate the floor after a dance; that is especially true on day shift. Most of the dancers will provide a pretty decent two way contact in the lap dance area. Mileage in the more private champagne room is highly variable (you'll need to negotiate a dancer fee on top of the $30 access fee that is paid to the club). Some dancers provide what is essentially an extended lap dance and others willing to upgrade their services in the champagne room. Most of the dancers are pretty honest about what they will and will not do in the champagne room. There is an exception to this "honesty in negotiations" rule, that being a blonde who dances under the name of Trinity. She is widely known for bait and switch tactics--- promising a lot and failing to deliver. Other than that one warning, the club and the dancers offer a pretty good value.
