Don't Bother!
After reading up on the various San Antonio clubs I knew not to get my hopes up too much. Local laws dictate they just can't offer anything similar to what's available in most other cities...pasties and full bottoms required. But after trying XTC just to avert boredom and say I went out one night - I really can't understand how this club stays open.
Arrived on a recent weeknight to see that I was only one of three or four customers in the club. As I later learned from a dancer, with XTC being primarily an after-hours club it is likely that I was just there too early. Having said that - there was absolutely *nothing* going on. A handful of dancers sat in chairs near the bar, playing on their phones. For the hour that I was there, the stage was vacant most of the time. The couple of dancers who did take the stage were uninterested and uninspired at best. One dancer stopped by the table, we engaged in a few minutes of small talk and then she made her offer....$30 per song for an air dance, seeing nothing more than anyone can see at a swimming pool? No thank you!! At least the chairs were somewhat comfy and the place seemed clean enough. I downed a Coke and bolted after an hour, saving my entertainment funds for other ventures.
