Club closed

I stopped by Cheetah at 8 pm, the sign was dark, and I found a note posted on the door saying that the club was closed. I then went to Golddiggers nearby, where several reliable sources told me that Al, the owner of Cheetah, died on Sunday and that Cheetah is going to be sold.

Basically, this was a place with African-American dancers where pretty good mileage was available on the stage and in personal dances. Dances were not in any kind of private, enclosed space. There was a pool table. Cheetah's opened at 7:30 pm nightly with no cover for the first hour.

Whether Cheetah's reopens as a strip club or something else, we shall see...
