Mid June Visit

Stopped into Blondie's in the middle of June on a Thursday night around 9PM. I have noticed more cars in the parking lot than normal when I've been in the area so I thought I would stop and check it out after a long absence. I had heard they also had new management.

I walked in and was ready to pay the cover charge. The doorman glanced and me an waived me by for some reason (thanks). Upon checking the board I noticed 7 names on it.....but none were familiar to me (and I don't come here very often so I didn't expect to see any names I recognized). I settled in at the bar in the back (near the stages) and ordered a drink. I did notice one change already with the new management.....dancers on stage (what a concept)!! After watching a couple dancers from a distance I settled stage side to watch a tall, thin blonde. Turns out she and her friend were from Alabama and traveling strippers who like to "work at black clubs". Not sure Blondie's qualifies as a black club.....but that's what she claimed. Both the blonde and her friend were talented dancers and their pole work on stage was much better than what you generally see at the clubs. As soon as she was done with her stage dances, she returned to the front bar to sit with regulars.

I watched one more dancer and then decided that while Blondie's had improved......at least on this night.....it just didn't have the "vibe" that I was looking for so I wandered across the street to Dollie's.
