This isn't a social outing club

There are two types of strip clubs - social and non-social. Social strip clubs are usually cleaner, lower mileage, female and couple friendly; they're the sort of place where you could go in a group and have a good time. Non-social clubs are where you go for a release (if all goes as planned); they're dingy, the women are usually mediocre, and your dollar goes a long way. Dollie's is decidedly the latter sort of club.

When I went on a later afternoon, the woman stationed upfront past the unsecured door asked for cover, some very nominal fee, I believe $3 or $4. Quickly the manager waived her off and let me enter for free. Immediately, a very mediocre stripper came up to me and got quite friendly. I will say there was one very good looking stripper, but she spent all of her time talking to other strippers around the pool table. The girls all seem territorial here, and if one latches on, good luck shaking her off for somebody else. The girl in question spent quite a while hanging on me before mentioning the back room. Eventually, after having me buy her a drink (a surprisingly reasonable $5) and doing her stage set, she asked how much money I had to go back. The reason she asked is because this club does not, in any real sense, provide lap dances. Rather, you go through saloon doors to a technically private but highly exposed room with just a chair, where you'll sit and receive some oral attention. I said I had $50, and was told that the rate to go back was $40. She put in at least 15 minutes of work, albeit to no avail; and she said additional time would carry an additional price. While her skills were decidedly lacking, the price is hard to argue with.

A word of caution: go here only during daylight hours. The greater East St Louis area is dangerous to begin with, but this club is in one of the most dangerous stretches of town, and seems to do the absolute least in terms of security of any of the half dozen clubs I've patronized in the area. Indeed, all else being equal, it is better to take a cab here instead of leaving your car in an unsecured lot.
