Same old, same old

I visited Fantasy last Wednesday. I got there about 8:45 PM with a little concern about the parking situation. It seems as if there is some construction occurring in the area around the club, and the parking lot next door has lost some parking spots. There are definitely fewer parking spaces. That might not be a problem on a Wednesday night, but on Friday and Saturday it might be prohibitive. I talked to one of the security guys and he mentioned that the next block over, on 3rd Street, there is a facility owned by the same party that will accommodate parking for Club Fantasy. Good to know about that. Anyway I went in, moderately hopeful. Since the cut-off time for girls to show up for the last shift is 10:00 PM, I would stay there until that time. I stood at the counter and watched the girls come to work. Not too promising. One by one they came in. Nobody I would waste my money on. It resembled the participants of a Weight Watchers meeting more than a dance club. Very disheartening. I gave them until 10:10 and then I walked out. The only good thing about this visit is that I saved money, except for the $10 admission fee. The bad thing is that I wasted a lot of time again. It looks to me that this club is seeing the last of its days. The era of hostess dance clubs in LA is fast approaching its end in my opinion.
