Since Gold Diggers has not been reviewed in almost twenty months, I decided to take one for the team and update the intelligence on this club. I went to Gold Diggers around 18:45 on a Thursday evening. The club is located in a part of Fresno that was bypassed when SR 99 was rerouted. There are old truck stops, motels, and enough overgrown foliage to hide a dead body. The cover charge was $5, but you can get in free if you know what the daily password is. The password gets posted on Gold Diggers’ Facebook page every afternoon. A Sincweiser was $4.75 and a Jager Bomb was $5. Bud Light, Budweiser, Coors Light, and Coors are 5 for $14.25 at all times. Modelo and Corona are 5 for $15.75 at all times. During the 16:00 to 18:00 happy hour, Budweiser and Coors products are 4 for $10. You are not supposed to use your smart phone inside the club. A fat, wart-faced bouncer started shouting at me when I was texting in the bar area.

There is one large stage on the east end of the building with a single pole. Dancers get topless on stage, but cannot be topless on the outside ring of the stage. Dancers can only interact with customers when they have their tops on. If you are okay with the entertainers being in bikinis, tipping can be exciting. I saw some of the regulars groping dancers like crazy while on stage and even grabbing them by the hips and start thrusting their pelvises into them. The local ordinances also require dancers to have their tops on during lap dances.

Lap dances take place on the west side of the building in a room that had no privacy from the bar area. Lap dances are done on couches. You are not supposed to touch the dancers, but you can get away with it as long as the dancer doesn’t care and the bouncer doesn’t come by. Lap dances are $20 and not worth it unless you find a dancer that bends the rules…a lot.
