think i just found a new favorite club

I may have just found a new favorite club. I decided to check out The Palazio on a Saturday afternoon, and though it was more than a 30 minute drive from my home (I live near Round Rock), I’m glad I made the trip. Even from the outside it was evident this club is on another level than most Austin clubs, and that includes Perfect 10. It immediately reminded me of The Palace Mens Club in San Antonio.

The cover charge was only $5. As you walk into the main room, there’s a long bar on your right and on the left is the open seating area around the main stage. And if you keep walking past the bar eventually you’ll come to a second room, however, I’m told anyone is free to sit at the VIP bar, just as you’re free to sit anywhere in the main room too. The only exceptions are the private cabanas which tend to be located in the corners. The ones I saw had signs listing them at $550, but again, that’s only during the night time. During the day time they’re available for much more reasonable rates. What more can I say? The club is gorgeous, but you really have to see it to appreciate it.

I took a seat front and center, and though the girl on stage wasn’t my type at all, as luck would have it the second girl was much prettier (tall thin blonde) and the third was downright beautiful (petite with light brown hair). I tipped them both, but the tall blonde disappeared into a corner with another gentleman, while the petite brunette walked out the door shortly after finishing her sets. I was so upset I hadn’t asked her to join me while she was still up on stage.
