Where has all the talent gone?

Femme Nu has been at the top of the strip club pecking order for a number of years since the old Fantasy Island Showgirls closed down. Unfortunately like every other strip club in Honolulu the quality of girls working the stages here has declined significantly in the last ten years. The best talent has moved on to more lucrative markets like Las Vegas and New York City which leaves the club dependent on average talent for the most part. There are several Russian nationals who work here on Friday and Saturday nights which is interesting but certainly not enough to warrant spending more than a token amount on stage tips and certainly nothing on vastly overpriced ladies drinks ($30.00 and higher for drinks with very questionable alcohol content). The stage show does not involve much effort with most girls content to sit on their floor mats waiting for someone to sit down in front of them for a clear view of their privates once the bikini bottoms are removed. In years past this was actually worthwhile but many of the regular girls are well past their prime and should be paid to put their clothes on. Parking here is limited and the club demands $2.00 for use of their lot to go along with the $7.00 cover charge. The cover charge will get you one domestic beer but imports and some domestic specialty beers will cost an extra $1.00. A better parking option is the large lots at Alamo Ana shopping center down the street. The lots here are open until 2 AM so there is no issue here with getting a car towed unless you double park. ATM service fees inside the bar are higher than down the street at First Hawaiian so plan ahead. Of note the Korean guy working the cash register will occasionally miscount on the return change especially if you are breaking a $20 or $50 for stage tips. He seems to be in charge behind the bar so it might not be an accident so count your change before you leave the bar. Overall this bar used to be a good place to see a good show but those days are long gone. Save your money for a trip to Las Vegas or better yet the Philippines.
