Mpire - DC

Went to Mpire last Thursday night for the first time. Arrived a little after 9pm. Had to wait at the door for 5-10 minutes as the doorman said the club was at capacity. When I finally got in I saw why…it is the smallest club I’ve been to, very claustrophobic. Also, they scan your ID at the door.

Doorman said there were 2 floors but the 2nd floor was for VIPs only that night, so I went to the 1st floor room. It has a small bar w/ a small round stage w/ a pole at each end of the bar. The bar seats 4-5 people. Then there is seating along the walls on the side, maybe for 25-30 people. I sat at the bar at the only open seat. The décor was very upscale.

There was one dancer on each stage, and maybe 5 sitting w/ customers along the walls (hard to distinguish from a customer since they have to wear cocktail dresses). The dancers are about 6-8 on a 10-scale (all white girls). Like Camelot next door, it’s a nude club and dancers are on stage 2-3 songs.
