Uncomfortable Feeling
Thought I might try this place out after reading a few other reviews here on TUSCL. I walked in and was immediately struck by how impersonal it was. the few ladies i saw were locked behind bullet proof glass and seemed very unaware of my presence. I finally figured out that you have to snake around the rear of the booth and shove a dollar into the machine just to speak to your hostess. After many attempts I was successful and the curtain moved aside. I dreaded picking up the cruddy phone receiver just to talk but figured that was part of the "charm" of the place. It was an odd feeling but it only lasted a minute or two before the curtain slammed shut in mid sentence. I did not feel compelled to purchase a private dance based on my too brief interaction. The center stage thing was closed. The young lady explained that there were not enough dancers on duty to make use of it.
I definitely did not pay the 10.00 to go upstairs to the "theatre" as there was a large sign announcing a no refund policy.
Can't see myself going back to the carnival unless I was seriously drunk.
