Follies - Only One Reason to Go...
... And it's not for the food (although they do have a decent free buffet at 4pm), the drinks (although they're fairly priced at ~$4.50 for mixed drinks, with no mark-up for dancers), or the ambiance (although I've seen many worse clubs). It's the dancers, of course, with the Follies' famous hands-on experience.
It's an hour's drive for me, but I keep going back. My last Sunday afternoon visit was no exception, except I got there around 2pm, which is late. (Hint: Arrive when they first open, which is 1pm on weekends, noon weekdays. There's no valet and you can choose a high-chair along the wall.) When I got there, it was packed, so I stood along the wall by the group VIP. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as when a dancer does stop, she'll lean into you with her hand conveniently located about crotch-high for that wonderful Follies handshake.
My first dancer was an AA beauty, with natural C-breasts and few inhibitions, which I discovered at the dance chairs back by the single VIPs (and where the pool table used be, for us old timers). I then went back to my place on the wall where I could watch the high-chairs, which thankfully rotate open fairly often. I soon spotted one, snagged it, and enjoyed what few dancers I could woo over, as many seem to hang with regulars or always be headed elsewhere. Where to, who knows? Maybe I was wearing my "Do Not Dance For Me" hat... :-)
