Hood Spot
I was visiting L.A., & I decided to check out King Henry's. This club is located in close proximity to Starz, & various other strip clubs, & this was my first stop before I made my way over to Starz. When I got to the door, I was greeted by a bouncer wearing a bright red hooded sweatshirt. The color red would be a theme as I noticed a number of what appeared to be" Bloods" gang members sitting down on the left side of the club once I entered. I'm a " Player", & not a gangbanger, which should have been evident by my dressy attire, so everything was cool, & I felt comfortable, despite being " Solo" in what seemed like it might be a " Bloods" hang out.
This is a very small club with one bar, & one stage. I got to the club at 10-11 pm, & saw about 6-10 dancers there. There was one pretty carmel complected dancer on stage, who was tall & slender. She had the type of body that the singer Mya had when she first hit the scene, slim frame, flat stomach, & a nice bubble butt. When I sat down at the bar I kept my eye on this dancer, because I wanted holler at her, but once she got off stage, she walked over to where the " Bloods" were seated at, & stayed put over there. The rest of the dancers were the typical hood rat strippers, & didn't tickle my fancy. I stayed for about an hour, had a few drinks, & headed off to " Starz", which was as different as night and day from king Henry's.
One can get a lot of financial milage out of king Henry's. The vibe was laid back & cool, but I doubt I would ever go back. It just wasn't my cup of tea.
