Quickie

A quick update is in order for those private dances in the back rooms. They are now pretty damn expensive. The "cabana" which used to be $125 + $100 for the girl (30 min) is now $175 + $100. When you add the usual tips it's basically on par with that place in Richmond (Club Rouge) that I thought was ridiculous. The "owner's suite" is $600 for an hour. The VIP rooms were taken so I didn't see what the price was, but I don't recall those being impressive other than slightly more privacy. Saturday night had some new younger and somewhat older talent in the main room. A couple 8's and one 9 (a gorgeous spinner of a brunette) to go with the usual 6's and 7's. There was also a 2 in there who definitely looked out of place, older and heavier. My favorite was back, and we enjoyed dinner (try the crab ball / deviled egg appetizer) and later the back room. I will say they keep the club up quite nicely, but definitely some dancer turnover. It might work out better on some nights than other nights, recall that I was not impressed with their Sunday lineup last week.

I also notice after 9 pm the guard is scanning for ID's when people come in, though I don't know if they are charging for cover (I always come before 7).

I'm starting to see a Rule of Thumb at clubs in MD and VA: $10 per minute for any kind of private dance, regardless of couch or room. Basically if you want nearly full touch (remember it's only topless private dances here) you have to go for the 30 min rooms. If you go for the couch for 1 or 2 dances, they're out in the open and during the 2-for-1 specials, the lap dance police are out in force. They tend to be less of problem earlier in the evening.
