Night before the 500...Not what it used to be
I used to visit this place quite a bit (when it was still various incarnations of the Gold Club and even after the Rick's takeover). I've only been there a few times in the past year, though. I remember great times at this place on the night before the Indy 500, so I decided to stop in. I got there around 10:30 and it was not at all crowded. There were a few groups of patrons hanging out and drinking in that raised section that is sometimes roped off for parties and such, but there were plenty of tables and bar seats open for the crowd that was, apparently, going elsewhere that night.
Anyway, my initial impression of this visit was one-beer-and-gone. I saw one dancer that I liked, but she disappeared. Other than her, 3 of the waitresses were pretty damned hot, but not available for dancing. That's generally a bad sign.
As I got a beer, I looked toward the stage and saw a chunky dancer with small breasts. Not at all my type. And then an overly rubenesque dancer sat down with me. Again, not my type. I very clearly, yet politely, let her know I was not interested, but she stayed anyway. I have to admit that she was interesting, and the bit of conversation was better than average. But that's not why I was in a strip club. She finally left just before I finished my beer. I had nothing else going on that night, so I decided to order one more and hang out for a half hour or so.
