Hidden Gem

This club was a real surprise. My only reason for my visit was to complete my checklist of all the Anaheim strip clubs. I had never heard of this club before I saw it on TUSCL so I had no expectations. This club is a bit hidden, unless you're a local you may need to use your GPS. Having said that, this gem of a club was worth the hunt.

What I found inside was a very inviting club. Everything about the physical club was well maintained. The entire establishment, including the restrooms, smoking area, and VIP areas, were clean and newer looking. The stage was well lit enough to see the fully nude show while the rest of the club was lit softly enough to be intimate. Even though the lighting was cozy I never, even in the private areas, felt like I was with a girl in the dark. I like lowered lights but I like to see what I'm experiencing too. The DJ was playing a good variety of music that was at a volume that let the girls really seem to feel it on stage but also let me talk to the girls without having to raise my voice. If you are a smoker this club had an outside smoking area. From the bar they serve a typical juice bar selection of drinks.

The staff at Taboo is the rare exception in the strip club industry. They actually added to the positive experience I had here. The door man was polite and greeted me in a friendly way. The DJ was not annoying and didn't take focus away from the girls with unnecessary typical DJ chatter. The waitresses were present if you wanted to buy a drink but were not pushy about selling and very pleasant to deal with. Where this staff really made the night was in the little things. At one point I was outside in the smoking area with a girl when a bouncer came out. He came over greeted us both in a friendly way, bummed a smoke, then politely excused himself and left us to talk. At another point I had trouble with my bank. My bank thought the large ATM withdrawal I wanted to make for VIPs was not legit. During the whole time I worked this out the staff and the girl I was with all remained friendly and light. It took a while to convince my bank to let my money go but Taboo's staff never acted rude or tried to rush me. They even offered sympathy, "happens all the time". They even offered me a water while I worked it out with my bank.
