Weird Time

So I was in charlotte for a couple of days and hit up the gentlemen’s club on Friday afternoon before leaving town. The club is located at the end of s strip mall. There was plenty of parking available and no cover charge. Only one bartender working and no waitresses or bouncer. There was probably a daytime manager but I did not see one. Have to go up to what would be considered the bar to order your drinks. I say that as it is really just a giant hole in the wall where they serve drinks from. No seating available at the bar and I guess you could stand at the bar but there is probably only room for 4 or 5 people to stand at the bar and then others would not be able to get drinks. The place is good size with plenty of seating and multiple stages and a VIP dance room towards the front of the club. Looks like a bunch of love seats with sheer curtains that allow anyone to see what is going on. Even on a cloudy day, the place was a bit dark inside, but perfect for a strip club. There were, I am guessing, about 10-15 dancers there. Probably all in 6-7 range with one 8 on-board. I say guessing because in the hour I was there only two girls went on the stage for one song and fully dressed. It appears there was no DJ, and a soundtrack was playing with a good mix of tunes. No one calling girls on stage no girls going up, it was just weird to sit there. There was a good crowd for a Friday after – 20 or so guys – and there was a bunch of table dances going on. I did have two dancers approach but I thought I would survey the place first and turned them away. They did not return. The 8 was sitting next to me, chatting with some guy, she looked bored and I keep exchanges smiles with her, hoping she would break away, but I gave up after an hour and decide to move on to another club (Gold club – big mistake). If this is the norm for this club, no DJ and no stage dancing, I cannot really recommend going to this club unless you are a regular and have a favorite you are visiting. Or if you are a group of guys wanting to grab some drinks and see what may happen. If I am ever back this way I would probably stop in just to see if this is the norm. It was really strange for a club with a lot of patrons to have no dancers on stage. I have seen it happen when only one or two patrons are in the club but never in a club I would consider busy.
