This is a brief review of a Sapphire "Skybox" experience, those swanky personal suites located on the second level. As you enter the club, they are on the right side overlooking the first floor. Since there is very little mileage available on the first floor, although the eyecandy can be spectacular, there isn't a great deal of choice for hard core lappers. After selecting your prize for the evening, either hit the VIP rooms or live large in a Skybox. I chose to live large, of course, which also meant choosing to have a Hoover vacuum firmly attached to my wallet. For one full hour, the listed retail price is $500.00, and that's what you'll pay going in. When I received the bill, however, there were two entries, one for $750.00 and one for $250.00, for a grand total of $1,000. Part of the added cost was for a $200.00 bottle of wine I ordered. No problem there. But all the other charges were taxes, fees, or some other non-disclosed item that left me feeling a bit abused. So do be careful. You could easily pay twice the 5-bills they quote you. And for the record, my lusty, sultry mistress that night, Mischief, did not receive any further compensation, i.e, a tip. So I was out the door for a cool grand. (Such a deal, eh?)

Naturally, I expected a great deal of privacy in the Skybox, but in reality the constant interruptions to see "if you needed anything", deliver a fruit plate, order wine, deliver the wine, get a signature, etc, reduced that privacy considerably. That was a surprise.

The lack of serious mileage was also a factor, although that was my own fault for not clarifying expectations. (Mischief was still loads of fun, and comes highly, highly recommended). The problem is that I interpreted all her pre-sales floor talk, oh so nasty and delicious, to mean that mileage would be quite high, and that almost anything goes. I was wrong. But she apologied for the misunderstanding and set me immediately on the straight and narrow, in so far as that's even possible in a club. In the end, I had a wonderful time and have no serious complaints, although next time will try to find better better bang for the buck in a VIP room.
