Whatever happened to hot clubs at drive time?

I remember when this place was packed from 5 til 7 most afternoons. Not any more.There's always twice as many guys at the bar than at the stage. And this was one of those nights when I could see why.

The stage lighting was consistently low, and I suppose that's better than the standard switching from dim to absoutely murky. And the smoke machine stayed off for all but one song, which was a real relief. But the music was just awful, headache inducing and not much to dance to --- and that fit in with the dancers.
